Isabel is from Boston and moved to Colorado where among other adventures, she taught snowboarding in Breckenridge. After completing a BS in Human Nutrition & Dietetics from the Metropolitan State University of Denver, Isabel moved to Houston for a year-long Dietetic Internship with Texas Woman’s University. During this internship she completed rotations at a hospital, out-patient community clinics, a food bank, and the HISD nutrition services department. She passed the RD-exam and went on to work as an in-patient Clinical Dietitian at a community hospital here in Houston. She then started a private practice, with an office at the EaDo location of Facet Seven Fitness.
Isabel is excited to engage with clients, giving them the nutrition related knowledge they need to help them reach their healthy goals. Specifically, she aims to help clients with weight management, eating appropriately for any disease states or lab values they want to correct, and motivating them along the way. As an out-patient RD she can teach prevention by providing clients with information that is evidence based. Isabel realizes that people often have barriers to a healthy nutritious lifestyle, and is motivated to help create strategies to reduce these barriers and reach their goals. When she’s not busy growing her business, she loves playing outside with her two dogs, and especially loves taking them swimming!
