Lauren is a registered dietitian with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Master’s degree in Nutrition from Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University.
She completed her internship through Francis Stern Nutrition Center at Tufts Medical Center. Prior to working as a dietitian her career began with 4 years in the biotech industry researching cancer and vaccine development. Although she thrived on the research and impact it made, she desired to interact directly with people. She went back to school to pursue her interest in health and wellness by studying nutrition and became a yoga instructor. She completed a 200-hour teacher training at South Boston Yoga and currently teaches yoga with Metro North YMCA.
She has experience as a regional support dietitian where she provided care at nine different locations ranging from inpatient at hospitals, rehab centers, outpatient counseling, and worked on analyzing recipes and making improvements to menus. She is passionate about partnering with individuals to educate, working on specific lifestyle and nutrition goals, and providing motivation and support along the way to help achieve these goals.
