My name is Phoebe K Flemming and I am a Registered Dietitian in Massachusetts and Vermont. I have focused on community and school nutrition, nutrition at birth and end of life, diabetes education, food access and urban agriculture since becoming an RD in 2008. I have worked closely with schools and elder service agencies in MA and VT and started my own 501c3 non profit (South Boston Grows) in 2011. I started this organization to address the many barriers that community members face in regards to nutrition and physical activity with the focus on providing access and exposure to fresh fruits and vegetables and exercise in communities of need. I have a penchant for holistic nutrition, cooking and essential oil therapy and use all of these skills in my work when I have clients interested. I have experience teaching preschool to college and more comfortable actually enjoy public speaking. I believe in interactive nutrition education and personalizing the nutrition plan for each individual. On a personal level, I love all animals and have three “therapy” Jack Russell Terriers of my own (Grady 15, Fitzy 12 and Champjorge 9) and spend as much time as I can hiking, swimming, and enjoying snow sports with them when I can. I live between Killington, VT and Boston, MA and travel quite frequently to Italy, NYC, Cape Cod, and Richmond, VA for work and fun. Thanks for getting to know me!
