Gina Bates is a Registered Dietitian who attended the University of Maine where she received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Human and Nutrition and Dietetics as well as a minor in Exercise Science. Gina completed her dietetic internship rotations in Maine at Eastern Maine Medical Center, St. Joseph Hospital, the Maine Dairy and Nutrition Council, and the Maine Department of Education. Following her dietetic internship she went on to work as a clinical dietitian at St. Joseph Hospital and has recently moved back to her home state of New Hampshire to continue growing her career as an RD.
Gina has experience working with various age groups in both the clinical and community setting and enjoys sharing her nutrition knowledge with others. She uses her nutrition experience to help individuals and families achieve their personal nutrition and wellness goals in order to sustain a healthy lifestyle at every stage. Gina strives to help others overcome personal health obstacles to make manageable and lasting changes.
Nutrition is a complex subject that can often be seen as intimidating or contradicting with the influence of misinformation in the media today. Gina is passionate about combatting the idea that one quick fix or fad diet can work for all. Gina believes that using an individualized approach to nutrition is important in order to prevent or manage chronic conditions and to optimize overall health.
