Founder, Serenity Nutrition
For the past 20 years I have been a research scientist learning about the interconnection among human, animal, and environmental health, a concept termed One Health. On my One Health journey I discovered that one of the most effective ways to improve health of populations is to improve nutrition in early life. Early nutrition is a foundation for life long health.
After being a professor for 5 years I went back to school and completed over 1000 hours of clinical nutrition training in adult and pediatric hospitals to become a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN).
As a Clinical Dietitian for the past three years, I’ve spent a lot of time helping hospital patients with cardiovascular disease, diabetes, kidney disease, IBD including Crohn’s, learn how nutrition can paly a big part in the progress of their disease. While I love working with complex nutrition patients, I want to spend more time getting to know my patients and helping them in their unique journey with food.
I founded Serenity Nutrition with a mission is to positively impact the health of humans, animals, and the environment by supporting lifelong health from the very beginning. The first 1,000 days of life, conception through two years of age, is an important nutrition window to help establish lifelong health.
If you are ready to make peace with food, Serenity Nutrition will be your partner to identify the most appropriate foods for your individualized health needs, your lifestyle, and your budget. Wherever you are in your life journey, we can help you incorporate mindful eating to get the nutrients you need at every stage of life.
