Sweet Treats for Mom (and her health!) for Mother’s Day

 In Blog

Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 9!  It is a day to celebrate moms and mother-figures through thoughtful words, activities and gifts. Some companies push sweets and treats (which mom can have if she wants!) which can be easy to overeat and may bother her stomach.  Try some activities and gifts this year that aren’t food so she can feel her best and still enjoy spending time with you!

Here are some ideas about how to treat the moms in your life special!

-Go for a walk, mini golfing or somewhere to get some fresh air outside

-Offer to do additional chores

-Give mom some quiet time

-Call your mom and chat with her

-Do a homemade photo booth with stuff from around the house

-Set-up arts and craft center for everyone to make something fun

Looking for gifts that aren’t sweets? Check these out!

-Edible flowers or fresh cut local flowers

-Specialty teas or coffees

-Hand creams

-Massage therapy, hair or nail gift cards

-Magnets with her favorite family pictures

-Hand-drawn/written cards or pictures

Whatever you end up doing, be sure to show her you care and support he goals everyday of the year!
