Emily Buchholtz, RD, CDN, CSO

Owner and founder of Emily Buchholtz Nutrition!

Background:

Emily Buchholtz has been practicing nutrition and dietetics since 2015. Emily has cared for patients at top-ranked New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Hospital in Manhattan since 2017. Prior to joining Weill Cornell, Emily worked at Mount Sinai Beth Israel and SUNY Downstate Hospital. She has presented as an expert to many organizations – including the United Nations on the “Impact of Obesity and Nutrition on Breast Cancer”. Emily earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Indiana University and subsequently completed a Dietetic Internship through the Northwell Health System. While working as a clinical dietitian, she has become fluent in proper medical nutrition therapy for acute and chronic illnesses. Clinical work has honed her deep understanding of the medical aspects of nutrition that she now uses to work one-on-one with clients.

Emily has been passionate about nutrition for as long as she can remember. As a child, she was overweight and unaware of the associated long-term health consequences. Fortunately, she was able to successfully lose weight and keep it off. Through her tough weight loss journey, Emily was able to develop healthy habits that she continues to practice today.  Emily’s empathetic approach to treatment helps to foster close relationships with her clients.
