Hi, I’m Katie Badger, your non-diet, dietitian nutritionist, certified intuitive eating counselor, certified lactation counselor and mother of 2 young children. I combine my education, years of practice and my own personal journey to provide attentive, individualized, and research based care to children and parents, adults and teens. Through a counseling partnership, we will work together to remove stress and anxiety around food and exercise, move toward respect and appreciation for your current body and adopt intuitive eating skills.
The goal is no longer unattainable or fleeting, rather the goal is learning to be in the here and now body, to find pleasure in eating, to feel nourished and satisfied by food, to feel invigorated by movement and to foster respect for your body. At a quick glance, weight-inclusive care appears to be a “do nothing” approach, but that couldn’t be farther from the truth. Instead the focus is on discovering what makes you feel your best.
